1. Collage....
 



 


This style is inspired by the used of multiple elements in a single area...much similar to an actual collage. The effect includes use of different textures of paper, pins, tapes, sticky notes, stains, splats, splashes etc to create the collage effect. Done in the right manner, with a proper balance of colors and elements, this style can definitely get you a show stopper. This style moves away from the regular uniformity of web pages. May not appeal to a larger audience.

Generally used: Funky Websites, Young Audience.





2. Ornamental /Swirls/ Filigree Style (Classy Look)
 

This style is embodies the classy look. It makes use of elements like delicate swirls, filigree etc..A way to describe it would be the l'amour style. Use of script fonts completes the look.

Generally Used: Wedding Websites, Historical Websites, Restaurants , Hotels etc






3. Gloss and Gradients...
 



 

The most popular style in today, it is popularly known as web2.0. It has bright gradients, cool colors, glossy badges and bulbs. The whole look is shiny.

Generally Used: Almost Everywhere.





4. WordArt
 

Not exactly what Microsoft Word gives you. Typography has become a major element in a design. Infact there are so many sites that are designed based solely on this aspect. Text can take the form of art and is being extensively used among creative professionals.

Artistic Sites, Blogs, Sites of Art Designers





5. Futurama
 



 

Just like the popular TV series, Futuristic design is considered a very good form of design. It involves the use of slick colors, metallic objects and shapes. geometric shapes and objects play a big role in a futuristic design.

Generally Used
: Very rarely used...only niche sites.



6. Minimalism
 



 

The "in" thing in design nowadays. A design form that stresses on the minimum use of images and maximum use of colors. The no. of colors used is also limited to 2 at the most 3. it can turn out to be the most beautiul design form if done tastefully.

Generally Used: Almost Everywhere.


7. Retro Magic
 



 

Who doesn't like the 70's. Retro as a design form will always live on. Use of browns and pinks and greens in that oh so unique retro fashion is bound to catch the user's eye.

Generally Used: Blogs, Speciality Retro Sites.
